I remember having bad days and then realizing that it wasn't the day's fault, it was my attitude.

I remember taking the SAT while I was sick with Strep Throat. Worst. Day. Ever. And a pretty bad score, too. :)
Needless to say I took them again 5 months later.

I remember cereal spoons with disney characters on them that changed color when they touched the milk. My sister and I would always fight over who got the Jasmine one.

I remember when people would ask me, "How do you write with you left hand?" and I answer, "It's really difficult. I don't know why I do it." Some people laugh, but most people are really confused.

I remember snow closure days and knowing that I wouldn't have chemistry homework because everyone in the class knew that our teacher would be out playing in the snow, too.

I remember when I was 5 years old and I tried to cut own hair with kiddy scissors. I clearly remember standing in the sunroom and my mom running up to me saying, "NO! Honey, we don't do that." and I thought, "Well, why the hell not?" Of course, my language was a bit more innocent at the time.

I remember 9/11/2001.
Ten years and we're still strong. God bless the Fire Department, Police Department, those who lost their lives, and their families. Please take ten minutes out of your day to represent the ten years that have passed.

I remember when my mom tried to quarantine me with my friend who had Chicken Pox so I would get it and become immune. I never got it.

I remember my first time at camp in 4th grade. One of those nights was "The Overnight" when our cabin went and camped out in the middle of the woods. For dinner we had what were called "foiled dinners". Basically, it's Bisquick with meat and veggies wrapped in foil and cooked in the coals of the fire. To this day, it has been the best meal I ever ate.

HUZZAH 100!
I remember when my cousin would babysit us and make us Blues Clues Mac & Cheese. And now I'm all grown up and she's getting married. Time flies.

I remember watching The Secret of NIMH at my Nana's house in her guest bedroom. I loved the smell of her house.

I remember writing my initials and little notes like "the president lived here" all around the house. Apparently the 5 year old me was interested in politics.

Sorry I did post yesterday! Life got in the way....stupid life.

I remember when I climbed a mountain. And this video only shows halfway up. The photo is the tippy top. 5200 ft elevation.

I remember my 8th grade graduation pictures and I had had a strawberry lolly right before they took the pictures so my lips are bright red. BRIGHT RED. I'd rather not show you those pictures. :)

I remember my first scar. It's on my right wrist and I got it when I was 6 or 7. I was at the beach and I slipped on some moss and cut myself on barnacles. Probably should have gotten stitches, but I didn't. Now I've got an awesome scar.

I remember my sister's first ipod mini. Compared to what Apple has come up with now, it really wasn't that mini.

I remember my first nightmare. I can't explain anything that is going on. It's just an essence, but every time I get an inkling of that feeling I still become terrified.

I remember during my first trip to Disneyland, my dad wanted us all to go on the Haunted Mansion. Within the first stage, when you are in the room with the ceiling that gets taller, my mom got claustrophobic and ran out. When I see my mom running, there must something really messed up with this place, so my sister and I run after her, forcing my dad to follow. Then, my dad promises me that I will like it and makes me go on with him. I kept my eyes closed the whole time, convinced it was scariest thing I ever experienced. I ran out crying and my dad was really mad. I was 9. Now, Tower of Terror is my favorite ride. How messed up is that?

I remember swimming in Hawaii when we definitely shouldn't have been swimming. The waves were 10 feet high and we didn't even have surf boards.

I remember lying on the ground in the school yard and watching the heat waves ripple on the black top.

I remember going shopping with that same cousin an buying a mini skirt that had the store logo on the bum. My mom made me return it the next day.

I remember when my cousin would give us garbage bags of hand-me-downs and I thought it was better than Christmas.

I remember book stores when giant chess boards and my friend and I pretended we were in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

I remember how betrayed I felt when my mom got sick six months after my dog died. In hindsight, it was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. I learned more about extreme happiness and extreme sorrow than any other experience.

I remember thinking, "If you lie really flat on the bed under the covers, no one can find you in a game of Hide and Seek."
