I remember the Bumpy Slide Park. They don't have bumpy slides anymore. Sadness.


I remember taking the SAT while I was sick with Strep Throat. Worst. Day. Ever. And a pretty bad score, too. :)

Needless to say I took them again 5 months later.

I remember when we painted the living room yellow. My mom hated it.


I remember cereal spoons with disney characters on them that changed color when they touched the milk. My sister and I would always fight over who got the Jasmine one.

I remember when I was 5 years old and I tried to cut own hair with kiddy scissors. I clearly remember standing in the sunroom and my mom running up to me saying, "NO! Honey, we don't do that." and I thought, "Well, why the hell not?" Of course, my language was a bit more innocent at the time.

I remember my first time at camp in 4th grade. One of those nights was "The Overnight" when our cabin went and camped out in the middle of the woods. For dinner we had what were called "foiled dinners". Basically, it's Bisquick with meat and veggies wrapped in foil and cooked in the coals of the fire. To this day, it has been the best meal I ever ate.

I remember when I climbed a mountain. And this video only shows halfway up. The photo is the tippy top. 5200 ft elevation.


I remember my 8th grade graduation pictures and I had had a strawberry lolly right before they took the pictures so my lips are bright red. BRIGHT RED. I'd rather not show you those pictures. :)


I remember my first scar. It's on my right wrist and I got it when I was 6 or 7. I was at the beach and I slipped on some moss and cut myself on barnacles. Probably should have gotten stitches, but I didn't. Now I've got an awesome scar.

I remember using sleeping bags to sled down the stairs.

I remember my first nightmare. I can't explain anything that is going on. It's just an essence, but every time I get an inkling of that feeling I still become terrified.


I remember the smell of fish. I love it.

I remember the smell of berries at 9,000 ft altitude.


I remember grass covered in cherry blossoms.


I remember how cool you were if you had really nice Crayola felt markers.


I remember yellow Walkmans.


I remember during my first trip to Disneyland, my dad wanted us all to go on the Haunted Mansion. Within the first stage, when you are in the room with the ceiling that gets taller, my mom got claustrophobic and ran out. When I see my mom running, there must something really messed up with this place, so my sister and I run after her, forcing my dad to follow. Then, my dad promises me that I will like it and makes me go on with him. I kept my eyes closed the whole time, convinced it was scariest thing I ever experienced. I ran out crying and my dad was really mad. I was 9. Now, Tower of Terror is my favorite ride. How messed up is that?


I remember my first trip to Disneyland. Best feeling ever.


I remember car dealerships.


I remember swimming in Hawaii when we definitely shouldn't have been swimming. The waves were 10 feet high and we didn't even have surf boards.


I remember Jaws 1, 2, 3, and 4.


I remember my pet rock named Rocky.


I remember when purple was my favorite color.


I remember making dance routines with my sister to our favorite songs.


I remember house spiders.


I remember Pluto (you'll always be a planet to me).


I remember when channels 40-43 were the only ones I thought were worth watching.


I remember Nick Cannon on Nickelodeon.


I remember All That and the Amanda Show.


I remember lying on the ground in the school yard and watching the heat waves ripple on the black top.


I remember the surge of popularity in guinea pigs when I was about 10.


I remember Neopets.


I remember Pokemon cards and never getting very good at it.


I remember going shopping with that same cousin an buying a mini skirt that had the store logo on the bum. My mom made me return it the next day.


I remember when my cousin would give us garbage bags of hand-me-downs and I thought it was better than Christmas.


I remember getting a different colored uniform when I got to middle school.


I remember rolling down grassy hills.


I remember reciting the Pledge of Allegiance every morning in grade school.


I remember book stores when giant chess boards and my friend and I pretended we were in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.


I remember when $20 sounded like so much money.


I remember scrunchies.


I remember how betrayed I felt when my mom got sick six months after my dog died. In hindsight, it was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. I learned more about extreme happiness and extreme sorrow than any other experience.


I remember how cool breaking a bone was. Now it just makes me cringe.


I remember thinking, "If you lie really flat on the bed under the covers, no one can find you in a game of Hide and Seek."


I remember my dad reading Harry Potter to my sister and me before going to bed.


I remember pretending to be asleep in the car so my dad would carry me inside.
